Standing Point System

The Standing point system determines where your Avlet stands in society, and determines certain factors of what you can do with your Avlet, namely breeding. Read on for more information.

Avlets take their standing in society pretty seriously. Their standing shows how closely they have bonded with their rider/handler and other Avlets, as well as what they have contributed to the world of Mesesh. Every Avlet starts out as Nameless. From there, they move up through the ranks to Vagrant, Pledgeless, and finally, Bloodsworn. To move up these ranks, you need SP. SP is gained by drawing or obtaining art of your Avlet. More poitns are given for different activities and elements in your artwork.

Standing Ranks

Before we get into how to gain SP (Standing Points), let's discuss what the different Standings are and what they mean.

Recolors & YCHs
Base Recolors & YCHs qualify for half the number of points you would normally get. If there is a background, it can only qualify for the background points once unless the background is completely unique each time. Same goes for handler, other member's avlet, and all other bonuses. The exception to this rule is for one-offs - if only one person will ever get that unique lineart and it will not be reused, it qualifies for full points.

Other Bonuses
Background +2 SP is earned for adding a background. Backgrounds must have depth, meaning multiple environmental elements and/or a foreground as well.
Regional BG +2 SP is earned for the background matching the region your Avlet resides in.
Handler +1 SP is earned for including your handler or rider in the image. Please see the Races & Cultures page for what species are acceptable handlers. Must be easily recognizable.

Personal Art or Collaboration +1 SP is earned for personal art or a collaborative work. If the piece is a collaboration, proof of each part of the collaboration must be provided. This cannot apply to commissions.
Oath +2 SP is earned if your Avlet is taking part in an Oath in the image. This bonus can only be earned three times (once for each Oath) and does not apply to mentor Avlets in the image.
